Minako Iwamura received her BFA from Rhode Island School of Design. She has shown her work at Artists Space, Front Room Gallery, 80 Washington, Park East Gallery, Jonathan Levine Gallery. She lives and works in Brooklyn and Delhi, NY.
The artist explores the capacities of signifiers, what they can imply in a visual depiction by variable placements. What emerges from the act of painting in these explorations are questions about slowing down the process in creating and retaining an imagery and how we choose and manifest to form our visual memory.
